The actual exact cause of cellulite is still unknown, but it appears to result from the interaction of the connective tissue in the dermatological layer, which is placed below the skin, and the layer of fat which lays right beneath it. Ultra Cavitation represents an ultra-effective cellulite procedure with the ability of cellulite reduction and whole fat reduction in the body. This procedure is very different from liposuction since it is noninvasive. No real doctor or medical staff are needed for the procedure to take place. Basically, anyone can buy this Ultrasound machine and sell the cellulite removal service. The treatment is supposed to be very safe, so you shouldn’t be concerned.
This treatment uses the ultrasound technology to clear fat deposits which have been impossible to lose despite rigorous dieting and intense physical activity. The Ultra Cavitation procedure can be applied to almost any trouble area on the body, but the most common places are: Abdomen, Love Handles, Thighs, Arms, Breast, Buttocks, etc.
The Ultra Cavitation procedure claims to remove inches and cellulite, long-term weight loss success isn’t the case (2).
Ultra Cavitation works by breaking down cellulite, clearing up fat cells causing them to fall apart. Your body would then easily remove the fat as a waste substance. Like we mentioned Ultra Cavitation is a noninvasive procedure, which means there will be no needles, knives, anesthesia, or anything that would cause any discomfort or pain (3).
The Ultra Cavitation technology uses high-frequency sound waves to go through the skin into the fat cells. These sound waves cause the known effect of lipolysis (4). Lipolysis triggers triglycerides, or simply put fat cells. Your body would then progress by dissecting triglycerides into fat and glycerol.
Before starting the treatment you will be asked about your liver health and potential history of liver problems. Your liver takes part in the procedure, having the responsibility to pass through the fatty acids and glycerol. You should pass out this waste in 2-3 days.
The procedure begins with circumference measurements of the targeted body part. Afterwards, a gel will be applied to the specific area you selected. The main procedure will then begin, the ultrasonic device will be directly applied to the targeted area, continuously moving over the treatment site. The heat from the ultrasonic device causes contraction of the collagen fiber to immediate tighten the skin. The procedure would be then finalized with another circumference measurement. Duration of the Ultra Cavitation treatment per session normally takes around 15-20 minutes. But it all depends on the size of the targeted area and the thickness of the fat layer.
Some people notice immediate results, even after the first session. You will most likely see improvement after 3-6 days. It is recommended to take 6-10 session with 3-day intervals in-between, in order to achieve excellent results.
It is uncommon, but some patients have experienced dizziness and slight discomfort after the Ultra Cavitation treatment. This might be the result of thermal energy releasing, and clearing out the body. Other side effects again are rare but can occur. These side effects include swelling or redness in the area undergone treatment. These effects disappear in one or two days.
Let’s look at what science says about ultrasound waves and Ultra Cavitation in general.
A recent study showed that following the Ultra Cavitation therapy, patients were measured to have decreased fat thickness and circumference. Nonetheless, these individuals didn’t actually lose any real weight (in terms of weight loss). The study also shows no changes in cholesterol levels, triglycerides or liver (5). This doesn’t seem to be a problem since Ultra Cavitation therapies don’t claim any real weight loss results (long-term), they only claim short-term results (6).
Ultra Cavitation has a big benefit over traditional Liposuction. Unlike Liposuction, Ultra Cavitation doesn’t use local or general anesthetic, it is unnecessary. The key difference would be that Ultra Cavitation is noninvasive in comparison with Liposuction, which requires invasive methods. You will also recover a lot faster after Ultra Cavitation, patients can even return to normal day to day activities immediately (with Liposuction surgery, recovery last from 6-8 weeks) (7).
The risk of infection and scarring is also lower with Ultra Cavitation.
The only advantage that Liposuction has over Ultra Cavitation is weight loss. Liposuction directly impacts on your weight, and therefore creating a better chance for a sustainable weight loss. Of course, if you slack on your diet and exercise program, you will reverse the results (8).
As with many other products and treatments, this one also has mixed reviews.
People with positive reviews are generally very satisfied with the results. Reporting a significant improvement in cellulite reduction and inches. Many patients also state positive effects experienced with skin tightness. The only thing we need to point out would be that these people had primarily undergone at least 6 treatments of Ultra Cavitation (9).
Negative reviews are mostly based on bad experiences, concerning barely visible results. The price is also one of the problems for most users. One session goes for approximately 250-350 dollars. Expensive, indeed.
Is the Ultra Cavitation treatment an effective cellulite solution? Well, we like to think it is the best alternative to surgery, considering all the positive reviews.
There is not much to fault Ultra Cavitation on, as they make a pretty strong case for themselves, and it’s really just a matter of financial power. Giving it a try and seeing how it works, and experiencing the effects after a few treatments seems like a good idea for anyone looking for fast visible results. We need to mention again that this is not a long-term weight loss solution. The great results achieved with Ultra Cavitation will fade fast without a stable diet and exercise program.
