Their supplements are said to help reduce appetite, block the body’s ability to produce fat, boost metabolism, and increase overall energy and well-being. If combined with a proper diet and exercise program, these supplements can give you the extra boost needed to reach your long-term goals.

How is Demograss Intended to Work?

All Demograss products come with natural and organic ingredients that help boost thermogenesis as well as oxidation thanks to their powerful antioxidant properties. This allows the body to burn more fat and calories. Additionally, Demograss is also alleged to promote a more balanced digestive process, which in turn would detoxify the whole system. Losing weight can also be really exhausting and hard but Demograss should fix this problem with its energy boosting properties, supplying the whole body with constant energy during the day.

Demograss Ingredients

Depending on which Demograss product you buy, be it the Premier, Azul, Plus, Original, or Pink version, you will find very similar ingredients in almost all of them.

Here are the main ingredient found in most Demograss products:

  1. Guarana Seed – Derived from a plant grown in the Amazon, Guarana Seeds contain caffeine and can be used as a weight loss aid as well as an energy and mental booster (1). Although effective, high doses of this extract can induce side effects due to its high caffeine content. These side effects include anxiety, mood swings, rapid heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart attack, cold sweats, insomnia, and others (2).
  2. Aloe Vera –Also known as the Aloe Vera plant, produces two different substances, gel and latex. Both of these substances are commonly used in a variety of medicinal products (3). The latex is obtained from the cells beneath the skin of the plant’s leaves and the gel is obtained from the cells in the center of the plant's leaves. Some of the conditions Aloe Vera is used to treat include asthma, diabetes, stomach ulcers, constipation, diarrhea, and numerous skin conditions (4).
  3. Spirulina – Represents a blue-green algae that’s safe for both humans and animals to consume. It’s popularly used in many weight loss supplements and products (5). Spirulina benefits include its ability to improve one’s metabolization of fats and glucose, also lowering overall cholesterol levels and improving cardiovascular health (6).
  4. Flaxseed – Is an amazing seed that is high in fiber and healthy fats. The nutrients in Flaxseeds may help lower the risk of diabetes, cancer, cholesterol, and heart disease. Its high fiber content will allow users to feel full for longer periods of time, while at the same time promoting a healthier digestive system (7) (8).
  5. White Tea – Is mainly produced in China and other Asian countries, and it comes from the buds and leaves of the camellia sinensis plant (9). There is no internationally accepted definition of what White Tea is, but there are two different substances claiming to be White Tea that are produced using different methods. Both of them involve the leaves and buds being left to dry out. White Tea is said to contain more antioxidants than any other type of tea, providing extra benefits to the consumers (10).
  6. Prickly Pear – Represents a type of cactus that is very high in fiber. Prickly Pear is believed to regulate blood sugar levels, decrease cholesterol, and promote satiety. Higher doses of this herb could induce nausea, diarrhea, headaches, and digestive issues. Prickly Pear may also induce an allergic reaction in some individuals. This reaction can lead to skin rashes and respiratory problems (11).
  7. Alisma Plantago – Is better recognized as the water plantain. The root and stem of this herb are commonly used to make medicinal remedies. Despite its possible safety concerns, this extract is used to treat bladder and urinary diseases. However, Alisma Plantago has no weight loss benefits (12).
  8. Maitake – This extract is derived from a fungus native to Central and East Asia. It’s believed to treat cancer, diabetes, and could even assist with weight loss (13). Although, there is only scientific proof that it helps boost the immune system and lowers blood sugar levels. More research has to be concluded (14).

Ingredients Summary

Having organic and completely natural ingredients doesn’t always mean no side effects. Components like Guarana and Prickly Pear can potentially cause dangerous adverse effects. Not to mention the likely digestive problems which may occur from the use of certain Demograss ingredients. The main issue with all Demograss ingredients is their lack of explanation and scientific proof of effectiveness. There is also no clear dosing information for most products, which makes it impossible to properly use these supplements according to one’s own unique needs.

Demograss products do contain natural ingredients, but that doesn’t assure great results. These dietary supplements can provide a mild weight loss effect, but it’s highly unlikely to be a long-lasting one. It’s also unclear if the Demograss ingredients are provided in sufficient amounts, and are they even FDA approved? That being said, there are undoubtedly more reliable and safer dietary options available on the market that are capable of real long-term results, so your best option is to go with them instead.
