Body by Vi Shakes Ingredients
Ingredients are extremely important no matter what kind of supplement you’re buying. Fortunately, Vi Shakes have a properly designed ingredients list and nutritional label which minimizes the risk of any adverse effects.
The Body by Vi Shakes contain many ingredients, here are the most important ones:
Soy Protein Isolate – Is a pure form of protein derived from soybeans. This ingredients is 90 to 95% protein and has virtually no carbohydrates. Soy has been generally used to treat high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and even obesity, since it has a very low calorie content (1). Now, while Soy Protein Isolate might be a well-rounded source of protein and amino acids, this ingredient is most likely GMO if not stated differently on the packaging (2).
Fibersol – Represents a 90% fiber source that is specifically patented to lower LDL bad cholesterol and blood sugar levels (3). A study from Nutrition Research even showed that only 10g of fiber with each meal per day significantly enhanced weight loss. This study also demonstrated how Fibersol stimulates satiety and appetite suppression (4).
Whey Protein Concentrate – Is one of the cheapest forms of Whey Protein which is actually a byproduct of cheese production. Be that as it may, Whey Protein Concentrate has still shown some impressive results in studies (5). For instance, a study concluded by the World Journal of Diabetes wrote that “whey protein concentrate can affect glucose metabolism and muscle protein synthesis,” which directly implies that this form of protein can influence metabolism and muscle mass (6).
Ascorbic Acid – As a form of vitamin C, this acid is present in high amounts in most citrus fruits and some vegetables. Initially, vitamin C is highly recommended in every diet plan since this vitamin maintains our whole immune system and other parts of the body. Additionally, this vitamin is also helpful for curing stomach ulcers, bronchitis, skin infections, gum diseases, acne, and more (7).
Niacin – Every B vitamin, including Niacin or simply vitamin B3, is extremely important for our physical and psychological health. Vitamin B3 is known for its ability to maintain a proper metabolic rate, nerve function, eye health, liver function, as well as normal energy levels (8). Vitamin B3 deficiencies aren’t so common, however taking an extra dose from Vi Shakes can only help (9).
Calcium – A crucial mineral that enhances cartilage and bone cell function. Calcium also increase joint mobility and maintains proper functioning of our joints (10).
Thiamine – Better known as vitamin B1, a coenzyme that our body uses to metabolize food for energy, maintaining a proper heart and nervous system (11). This essential vitamin has numerous benefits, for instance it is used to digest and extract energy from the food we consume into usable energy in the form of ATP, it also allows proper carbohydrate and protein conversions, and much more (12).
Natural and Artificial Flavor – Artificial sweeteners and colors are never a good addition in any supplement. These chemicals are often much stronger than regular sugar and can potentially lead to unwanted effects. Natural sweeteners would be a lot better option for Vi Shakes (13) (14).
Unlike most meal replacement shakes, the Body by Vi Shakes actually bring quality ingredients to the table. The ingredients formula is filled with a reliable protein blend, fiber, aminogens, prebiotics, vitamins, minerals and much more. All ingredients come from reputable sources, manufactured in an FDA registered facility. Most of them are effective and don’t cause any negative effects, but not all of them. Ingredients like the potential GMO Soy Protein Isolate and Artificial Sweeteners can be associated with a range of possible side effects and allergic reactions. And this would be the only downside of the whole formula.
In the end, we can only see why Body by Vi has so many positive customer reviews that spread the word about their quality ingredients, service, and taste. So Vi Shakes definitely get a high score for being an actual beneficial source for both weight loss and nutrition. The only negative side to this formula is the artificial sweeteners and colors which could induce mild discomfort, but most likely won’t. Taking everything into consideration, Body by Vi Shakes are an absolute great deal, not a perfect one, but still worth it.
